Mikasaya Sushi Restaurant – Japanese Food @ Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Best sushi omakase experience in Hong Kong yet.

My husband came here for company event and decided to bring me here to try the omakase. It was a last minute decision and there were only seats available at the counter.

Apparently, the best experience of omakase is at the counter. We were told a minimum spending of HKD 1,200 per person. My husband seemed to like this place a lot and I thought it would be a great night well spent. Indeed it was and we will be back again for more.

We took HKD 1,450 set and it was fabulous. I did not take any pictures because it is rude in Japanese culture. Some places even request no phone while dining. My husband thought he could ask permission but I thought I should just enjoy the meal without interruption.

It is pretty annoying to take pictures of your meal every time before digging in…

Most of the customers that day were Japanese and no one was taking pictures. The only person who took was a middle aged lady from France.

Anyway, you can order a la carte menu too. This place is pretty popular so make sure to make a reservation.
