Catching up on all the cooking classes I went. Took this class last month and only updating now. This is a typical Japanese meal so it might taste quite particular for most people.
Why would I say that? Most of the dishes are made with Japanese ingredient called Amazake. It is a traditional sweet, low-alcohol Japanese drink made from fermented rice.
I was introduced by my father-in-law a few years ago. He mixed it with morning cereal and it was delicious.
Pan-fried Pork with Miso

Rice with Pearl Barley

Corn & Cheese Chawanmushi (Savory Egg Custards)

Kimchi & Cucumber Salad

Yogurt & Miso Pickles Amazake (Sweet Fermented Rice Drink)/Apricot Yogurt

Husband enjoyed the food. He felt he was back in Japan. However, the locals do not really like the taste and thought the food was normal. I guess it might take a few times to get use to the taste.
Till then…
